Well, it’s almost the best time of the year to live in Buffalo. Winter is coming to a close. The soiled streets become cleaner and the grass gets greener. As the Buffalo NY landscape beautifies and moves into Spring, it’s time to start thinking about cleaning up that pad. Once it gets nice out, you, like most Western New Yorkers, will probably start spending the majority of your free time outside of your apartment, so let’s get this moving!
Clean Out the Fridge
Throw out anything you aren’t, won’t, or can’t eat. Get rid of it. Take it out of your apartment. Get it gone. Next, get everything settled and clean that fridge. A great idea is using a combination of salt & soda water. The soda water bubbles, and the salt adds great texture for cleaning off stains.
Make that Faucet Sparkle
Having trouble getting lime and grime off that faucet? Try laying paper towels over it, soaking it with vinegar, and letting it set for about an hour. Once this sets in, it will be much easier for you to remove.
Change Out Bedding
Think about how often hotel’s change out their bedding. Not that your apartment needs to be changed out daily, but chances are, it’s been a while. If your comforter doesn’t need to be washed, it’s a good idea to air it out, after a long closed-up winter. Hang it out on a clothesline for a day to freshen it up a little.
Dusty Drapes & Curtains
If they are looking a little musky, remove any hooks and throw them in the dryer on air-fluff with a damp towel. This will draw off any lint and dust and make them look cleaner. As soon as they’re done, put them back up on the hooks to avoid any wrinkling.
